This policy covers nobscleanenergy.com and check.nobscleanenergy.com, operated by No BS Clean Energy. It explains what we collect when you use the Connecticut solar Connecticut solar check, why we collect it, and who else sees it.
We are a private company. We are not a government agency, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by Eversource. the Residential Renewable Energy Solutions program is administered by the State of Connecticut.

We do not ask for and do not want your Social Security number, date of birth, bank or card details, or utility account credentials. Never send those to us. Nobody from No BS Clean Energy will ask you for them by text or email.
When you submit the form you tick a box agreeing that No BS Clean Energy and its solar installation partner may contact you at the phone number and email you provided, including by automated dialing system and prerecorded message, about residential solar.
Consent is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. We store the exact wording you agreed to, along with the date, time and IP address, so both of us have a record of what was agreed.

This site loads the Meta pixel. It records that a page was viewed and that a form was submitted, so we can tell which advertisement produced an enquiry.
We also send Meta a server-side record of form submissions through their Conversions API. In that record your email address and phone number are hashed using SHA-256 before they leave our systems — Meta receives an irreversible fingerprint used only to match against accounts it already has, not readable contact details. Your name, bill range, roof details and ZIP code are not sent to Meta.
Meta's own handling of that data is governed by Meta's Privacy Policy. You can limit how your activity is used for advertising in Meta's ad preferences.
The Meta pixel sets cookies on this site to recognise a returning visitor and to connect an advertisement click to a form submission. We also keep a short-lived record in your browser's session storage of which advertisement you arrived from; it is discarded when you close the tab. Blocking cookies in your browser will not stop you using the program check.
We keep enquiry records for as long as we are working with you and for up to four years afterwards. That period is set by the record-keeping expected for telephone and text consent, so we can show what you agreed to and when. Ask us to delete your record sooner and we will, except where we are required to keep the consent record itself.
Depending on where you live you may have additional rights over your personal information. Ask and we will honour them.
The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are processed server-side, and the credentials used to store your record are never present in your browser. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise.
This site is meant for homeowners and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe we have, email us and we will delete it.
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be posted here before they take effect.
